When it comes time to give your brushes a wash, most turn to shampoo or fancy brush cleaners. But if you don’t have any of those fancy brush cleaners, instead of grabbing your shampoo, head to the kitchen and get your Sunlight dish washing liquid. I know, it sounds weird, but trust me.

Shampoo is is designed for hair. It’s designed to fix damaged hair by coating the hair. When you wash your brushes, it does the same thing. When you use your brushes again you could notice the pigment not sticking to the brush properly. That is because it is coated with shampoo.

By using dishwashing liquid, not only are your brushes getting a good clean, but when you use them again, they are good as new and your pigment will apply the way that it’s meant to.
